The Newtown Junior Women’s Club is a non-profit, 501(c)3, civic organization, comprised of women 18 years of age or older. It is a non-sectarian, non-partisan club and a member of the statewide Connecticut Junior Women, Inc. This group of women combines their time, talents and energies to benefit the community by promoting civic, cultural, educational and social activities.

As a member of the statewide Connecticut Junior Women, Inc., we have joined forces to support Homes for the Brave, Female Solders-Forgotten Heroes as our current 4 year project affiliation. Homes for the Brave Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes (FS:FH) is the first community based transitional supportive housing program dedicated to homeless female Veterans and their children under age five in the State of Connecticut. The 15-bed program is run by the 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit, Applied Behavioral Rehabilitation Institute, Inc. (ABRI), doing business as Homes for the Brave. FS:FH provides housing, case management, vocational services, and many other resources to female Veterans. The female Veterans in the program come from towns all over Connecticut.
